General Description:
The Project of Cogeneration GUABIRA
ENERGY consists on the combined production of
electromechanical energy
and useful heat, starting from the bagasse residuals from the
production
of sugar and alcohol.
In the first stage, the company GUABIRA
ENERGY (GE) will install a 16 MW power plant of
effective power,
denominated generating group Guabirá Nº 1. The second stage consists
on
the increment from the effective power to 25 MW in Guabira 1 and
simultaneously will
settle a second generating group - Guabirá 2 with an
approximate power of 25 MW.

Main Project Benefits:
Both temporary and permanent jobs will be
created during the construction and operation
of the plants.
Project reduces GHG emissions due the use
of renewable source.
Project promotes the investment in the
energy sector.
Current Status:
The PDD is under revision in the DNA.
