Project Description:
EEVH wishes to enlarge its hydroelectric capacity by uprating two existing
hydroelectric
power plants and building a new one at the Yura basin located
in the Tomave township in
the Potosí Department, Bolivia and by developing
two additional hydroelectric power
stations in the La Paz Department,
Bolivia; one in the South Yungas township and the
other one in the Pucarani
township. The projects in the Yura basin will be developed as
part of a
Joint Venture Agreement signed by EEVH with Corporación Minera de Bolivia
(COMIBOL).
The projects involved are the following:
Expansion of the Landara plant 1st and 2nd phases, at the Yura River basin,
1.05 MW.
New turbine at the Punutuma Plant, at the Yura River basin, 0.40 MW.
Condor Plant at the Yura River basin, 1.30 MW.
Chuñavi Hydroelectric Power Station, at the Tuni River basin, 1.20 MW
Anasani Hydroelectric Power Station, at the Anasani River basin, 3.40 MW.

Tuni River in La Paz.

Development costs: 0.6 US$ millions
Installed costs: 9.0 US$ millions
