General Description:
The project is an initiative of the a
state-owned company ENDE (National Company of
Electricity). The project
consists of implementing a 120 MW (2 x 60 MW) to generate
electricity to
the National Interconnected System, the region of Quetena Chico, Quetena
Grande and the borax factory. The Project uses the geothermal resources
“Campo de Sol
de Mañana”. The National Electric Company (ENDE) has
completed the digging of five
geothermal wells.

Electricity will be available for the

New employment sources will be created.

Installed costs: 151.1 US$ millions
Other costs: 28.39 US$ millions

Current Status:
The project has a PIN and the Note of
Interest is under treatment.
